The Little Black Dress

The little black dress was designed by Coco Chanel in the early 1920s and is still an essential item in every woman's closet. Why has the "little black dress" remained an essential look? Because of the simplicity and elegance. During the course of my blog I am going to expand on "Must Haves" the little black dress being one.

For now enjoy a couple of pictures of my favorite black dresses below. Till then remain in a fashion state of mind.

The ever fabulous and elegant Coco Chanel

Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly at Breakfast at Tiffany's, perfected the Chanel Black Dress.

The exaggerated one shoulder cock tail dress. Again, an example of a simple black dress.

The lunging daring V-Neck dress with pockets

Long Sleeve sequence mini for the Rocker Chic!

One shoulder sculptural frail satin dress

Flirtatious low back dress with bow!
